A public accountability movement for anyone and everyone

Lose it Loud.

Pick your number. Say it out loud. In public. The Goofball Trucker's number is 325 lbs — he's already 220 down, and he didn't get there whispering. Declare your goal to the world and let the world hold you to it.

From the author of “Food Addiction Is Killing You”

The whole idea is simple.

#LoseItLoud started with one realization: it should be the easiest thing in the world to say what you want to lose. Not a secret. Not a someday. A real number, said out loud — “I’m losing 50 lbs” — and an open invitation for the people around you to hold you to it.

Most of us do the opposite. We set the goal quietly, tell nobody, and quietly let it slip. When no one’s watching, quitting is painless. Saying it loud flips the whole thing. Now your friends, your family, your followers, the folks in the bleachers — they all know your number, and that’s exactly the kind of pressure that keeps you honest on the hard days.

This came out of writing Food Addiction Is Killing You — a brutally honest look at how food takes over, and how the first real step toward taking your life back is simply telling the truth about it, out loud. #LoseItLoud is that book turned into a movement: know your number, say it loud, and let the world cheer you across the line.

What is #LoseItLoud?

Quiet goals stay quiet failures.

Most people whisper their weight-loss goals — or keep them secret so nobody notices when they give up. #LoseItLoud flips that. You put a real number on it, you post it where everyone can see it, and you keep talking about it: the wins, the setbacks, all of it. Going public turns your friends, family, and followers into your accountability crew.

The Goofball Trucker’s pledge

“My number is 325 lbs, and I’m saying it out loud — so hold me to it.”

220lbs already gone
105lbs to go — loud
How it works

Three steps. Zero whispering.

1

Know your number

Get honest about where you are and where you want to be. Your number is your goal in pounds — 15, 50, 325, whatever is real for you. #KnowYourNumber

2

Say it loud

Post it on your socials with #LoseItLoud and #KnowYourNumber. Tell your coworkers. Tell the bleachers. Saying it in public makes it real — and makes quitting a lot harder.

3

Keep it loud

Post your progress — the good weeks and the rough ones. Cheer on everyone else who said their number. Loud together beats quiet alone.

Your turn

Put your number on the board.

The book behind the movement

It starts with telling the truth.

#LoseItLoud grew out of a hard look at food addiction — how it sneaks up on you, how it takes over, and how getting honest about it (out loud) is the first step to taking your life back. Read the book that started it all.

Who’s behind this

The Goofball Trucker.

Author, truck driver, hype man, and professional goofball. His number is 325 lbs — and he’s already over 220 lbs down, with 105 to go. He didn’t do it quietly, and he’s challenging everyone to say their number right along with him.

Catch #LoseItLoud live at Lansing Lugnuts games — look for the Goofball Trucker leading the charge at the ballpark and on the news. Hear your number called out loud? That’s the whole point.

Local to Michigan? Come catch the Goofball Trucker in person and join the 3K Club at the ballpark. Grab your Lugnuts tickets, show up, say your number out loud, and get loud with the crew on-site. #LoseItLoud
